Rafael Santillo, the Governor of Cuba, and his fiancée, Angelina Castillo, arrive on the island of Jamaica to negotiate a treaty allowing safe passage to Spanish ships through British-controlled waters in the Caribbean... or so the English Governor and his wife believe.

The real reason for Santillo’s visit is Commodore Henry Stark. A decade earlier, Stark and Santillo were part of a conspiracy involving the death of the infamous pirate François Le Vasseur and the map he possessed, leading to a vast fortune in gold, silver, and jewels. The time has come for the two men to go after the treasure.

Unbeknownst to them, Castillo has her own plans for the gold. However, her plan to steal each man’s piece of the map and go after the gold herself is foiled when she’s caught and thrown into a Jamaican jail cell. There, she is introduced to the notorious pirate Tristan Blake, who is awaiting execution on the gallows.

After breaking out of jail, Tristan and Castillo commandeer a ship and flee Port Royal. In the process of escaping the island, they take prisoners to ensure their safe passage out of port – the Governor’s daughter, Abby, and a young scamp named Kit.

Forced to serve as part of the crew, it isn’t long before Abby and Kit develop a mutual attraction. But they’re not alone, as Ethan and Angelina soon find themselves drawn to each other. Danger dogs them at every turn as the pursuit of pirate gold sets them on a course filled with action, adventure, and romance in the tropical paradise of the Caribbean
